Community Mental Health Practitioner or Peer Worker
 – Early Intervention Psychosocial Support Response (EIPSR)

Based on the Mornington Peninsula, with offices also in the Casey area, Mentis Assist provides support for people with diagnosed and enduring mental illness.

Community Mental Health Practitioners and Peer Workers will provide recovery oriented outreach psychosocial supports to people experiencing mental illness. As a Community Mental Health Practitioner, you will be working closely with mental health clinicians to ensure seamless transition to the EIPSR program and provide ongoing community based support.  Applicants must have experience in providing trauma informed practice to provide a framework for assessment and planning of services.  Peer workers must have experience in a similar role.  These roles will also support eligible clients to apply for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). 

The position is based in Frankston.

Driver’s licence is essential.  Appointment to a role will not be undertaken until the successful completion of reference checks, a National Police Check, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme Check, and Working with Children Check.
